Graphic Design, Print Design, Branding
  • Branding, exhibition flyer and vinyl signage for a multimedia exhibition held in Manchester and organised by "Contemporary Art Manchester". We used the simple idea of a camshaft for the main symbol in the CAM logomark which suggested movement and progression.
The graphic for the Trade City exhibition itself was derived from the profile of the CHIPS building which is where the exhibition was being housed - it's quite a strange looking building, but helped convey the idea of a dynamic city of sorts. Colours were based around concrete and iron - the building blocks of a city. The flyers were letterpressed in Metallic Copper on greyboard which reinforced this theme throughout. Folding programmes were lithoed in bronze onto uncoated paper.
